The Ridgid drum machine works excellent. Solved my yard to street drain problem. My only complaint is not with the product it is with HD advertising you will get the product in two or three days. It took around ten days to get the machine.

Great tool for 3 or 4 inch drains. Will not work in smaller drains due to the size of the cable.I have found that most clogs in 3-4 inch drains are ROOTS.If you are familiar with drain cleaning this is your tool as you must work the drain with this tool and not just plow thru your clog.

This is the most versatile drum machine I have used. Small enough to maneuver into tight spaces and it has enough power to break through everything I have put it up against. The autofeed is a game changer!!!!!

Great machine, bad cable

Bought machine on 6/25. Opened box at first job on 6/26. Found small piece of black plastic in bottom of box. Later figured out it was part if the coupling between the drum and frame. I snaked drain one time - paper clog in a 3 inch line. Switched heads and head connector had broken welds at cable (in my opinion heat stress cracks next to welds). Left job incomplete. Took snake in for service. Got it back nearly 3 weeks later - 7/15. Coupling replaced and connector welded back on to cable. 7/18 - Second job for this machine. Another paper clog. Attached head and gave a light test to the weld. Connector cracked next to new welds. I had to remove connector and bend the cable to effectively clear the clog. Now I don't know if I should take it back a second time, just buy a new cable, or fix it myself taking time to preheat and slowly cool the weld to remove heat stress from the cable. I've had a k380, k400, and a k3800 on my service vans for years. I have only broken one other cable. It was on an old k380 and was probably just worn out. I'm reluctant to give a bad review because I know that these are good, dependable machines and I know what they are capable of and not capable of. That's why I bought one as I am starting my own business. Somehow I just seem to have a bad cable and its costing me with downtime and repairs.
