WIC Valve PVS series 1-1/2" Inch NPT pneumatic air actuated valve ball valve comes with a stainless steel 3-piece ball valve body, it provides a easy installation and maintenance through the slide out body method. This industrial air actuated valve is used to control the on and off of the valve for media such as air, gas, liquid, water and steam.
PVS series single acting air actuated ball valve use air pressure to open the valve and springs to close the valve. The characteristic of the air actuated ball valve is that it has a higher flow rate, higher temperature resistant and higher pressure compare with the direct acting valve. Air actuated ball valve is ideal for the hazardous environments.

PVS Series Air Actuator Operating Principle:
Pressurized air is introduced to Port A that forces the pistons outward. It causes the springs to compress and the piston turns counterclockwise which opens the valve. Meanwhile air is being exhausted from port B (See Drawing 1)
When the pressurized air is not applied to Port A, the air pressure loss. The compressed springs extend and forces the pistons inward. As the springs extend, it rotate the actuator and the pinion turns clockwise which closes the valve. (See Drawing 2)
