    Description

Vintage 1950s "Marketer," a small pad with shopping list checklist pages.  One cover of the Marketer advertises Hostess products, including cupcakes, Twinkies, and Sno-Balls.  The other cover of the Marketer has a drawing of a loaf of Wonder Bread, along with the 1950s version of the company's slogan for Wonder Bread: "Helps Build Strong Bodies 12 Ways!"  The inside back cover has an ad for Morton Frozen Foods, and even includes a caricature of the company's "spokesman," Colonel Morton.  This small 2.25" X 3.5" pad has 13 pages of grocery shopping checklists.  Many of the products on the checklists are generic, such as soda, vegetables, fish, and eggs.  However, some of the products are specific, such as Wonder Rolls & Buns, Wonder Bread, Hostess Cakes, Morton Honey Buns, and Morton Dinners.  Notepad has 13 pages in it, so it probably originally came with 15 pages.  Very good condition overall, with some light wear along the edges and at the corners of the covers.  Small mark in the upper right corner of the Hostess Cakes cover.  All of the pages are unused.
